Local tip
Your first day in Playa del Carmen
A calm, practical checklist for arriving in Playa del Carmen.
### Getting to Playa from CUN
After baggage claim and customs, follow the signs toward the airport exit. Just before the final doors, look for the **ADO** booth. ADO runs regular coach buses from Terminals 2, 3, and 4 to Playa del Carmen; there is no ADO service from Terminal 1.
The currently listed fare is **MXN $270 one way**. Check the [official ADO booking page](https://tickets.ado.com.mx/ado-bus/cancun-airport-to-playa-del-carmen) for the current price and departure time before you travel. The bus arrives at the ADO terminal near Quinta Avenida.
Keep your passport, arrival documents, accommodation address, and a working way to pay accessible before leaving the airport. On the bus, keep your bags where you can see them: do not put them under your seat or behind you out of sight. Keep your ticket and receipt until you arrive.
Use your first day to get drinking water, a local data option, and a safe route to your accommodation. Plans and conditions change quickly; ask your host or a current local source before relying on this guide.
